大中天子海恩深，再使迷徒識佛心。

半死白蓮初降[雨]（雲）（從《殷禮在斯堂叢書》本改），欲成荒地又鋪金。

僧開石室經猶在，虎印溪泉跡未沉。

誰謂五湖書劍客，此生重得見東林。

白話文翻譯

大中年間的天子恩深如海，

再次讓迷途之人識得佛心。

瀕死的白蓮初次承蒙降雨，

將要成爲荒地之處又鋪上金色。

僧人開啓的石室中佛經仍在，

老虎在溪泉邊留下的足跡尚未湮沒。

誰說我這漂泊五湖的書劍客，

此生還能重見東林寺。

The Son of Heaven, Da Zhong, has grace deep as the sea;

Once more he makes the lost disciples know the Buddha's heart.

The half-dead white lotus first receives rain;

The desolate land about to form is again paved with gold.

Monks opened the stone chamber, scriptures still remain;

The tiger's print in the stream's spring, its trace not yet sunk.

Who would have thought a lakes-and-rivers scholar-swordsman like me

Would in this life again get to see Donglin Temple.
