南巡並非安逸遊樂。
九江吞沒了白日（喻舜逝），
二位妃子在水邊哭泣。
極目遠望楚地的雲彩已斷，
怨恨深長如湘水流淌。
至今聽到鼓瑟之聲，
悲咽斷絕，愁苦難勝。

His southern tour was not for idle pleasure.
The Nine Rivers drowned the white sun,
His two daughters wept on the blue isle.
Gaze reaches the end where Chu clouds break,

The sobs choke, unbearable is the sorrow.
