聖明恩澤光耀當世，
恩德光輝惠及萬物更新。
旌旗飄動如虯龍蜿蜒，
煙霞美景湧入城門。
宮柳初蘊嫩綠顏色，
龍池漸漸化開冰津。
誰憐惜那些處在幽暗角落的人？
希望能同蟄蟲一樣得以伸展屈身。

Jade pipes secretly shift the pitch, heralding the tune,
The eastern suburbs first announce that spring is due soon.
The imperial carriage answers fortune's blessed call,
Heavenly guard marches forth on this fine day withal.
The sage's favor shines upon contemporaries all,
His grace reaches all things, making them fresh and tall.
Dragons stir on banners and flags, a grand display,
Misty scenes enter the city gate, holding sway.
Royal willows begin to show their tint so light,
The Dragon Pond gradually opens, clear and bright.
Who pities those dwelling in shadow, out of sight?
May they, like hibernating insects, stretch toward the light.
