多年來，道德的楷模屹立於天地之間，
四海之內的士人都追隨他的身影。
一定要等到有名望的人前來拜謁裁斷，
才使得當世之人將見他比作登龍門。
我求取仕途通達，徒然懷有孔融般的志向，
爲他執鞭駕車，卻難以追及荀爽那樣的行蹤。
回首望去，他顯赫的門庭正如集市般熱鬧，
悲涼的風聲呼嘯，吹動著高大的松樹。

All scholars across the land followed his shadow nigh.
Only when famed men came to pay their respects, they'd find,
That meeting him was likened to ascending the dragon's kind.
Seeking advancement, in vain I bore Kong Rong's aspiration,
Driving his chariot, I could not match Xun Shuang's dedication.
Looking back, his lofty gate was just like a bustling fair,
While mournful winds howl through the towering pines with despair.
