秋天的帷帳間，露水的寒氣深重。
天地間各種聲響喧鬧後已歸於寂靜，
只有青天一片沉寂幽深。
我懷著悲愴的心情思念高潔的友人，
在靜默中抱持著沖淡的胸懷。
遙遙地憶起那位忘言的知己，
寫下這寄託山水之情的詩篇。

The autumn bed-curtain holds the deep chill of dew.
The chorus of myriad sounds has hushed into silence,
Only the azure sky hangs heavy and profound.
With sorrowful longing, I think of my noble companions,

Far off, I recall the friend who understands without words,
And pour out the music of mountains and waters in my verse.
