低垂的陰雲使萬木顯得慘淡，
寒雨迷濛，遮蔽了連綿的群山。
喪亂時局牽動著我的詩思，
聆聽民謠，不禁露出病容。
夢魂認得舊日隱居之地，
時常飄到那碧綠溪水彎曲處。

I sigh, my envoy's staff not yet returned.
Low clouds gloom over the multitude of trees,
Cold rain blurs the distant ranges from sight.
Chaos and loss stir my poetic thoughts,
Folk songs bring forth my ailing countenance.
My dreaming soul knows the old retreat,
And often wanders to the jade-green creek bay.
