The cloud's appearance also moves the heart to weep.
Each sound, in turn, breaks off and then resumes its fall;
Each drop, more even and more round, answers the call.
In the Taoist hall, the place where incense burns;
In the mountain lodge, the sky where paintings dry by turns.
Is my old homeland safe and sound, I wonder so?
The moistening touch extends even to melon fields below.
