越地的水域多風浪，
可以遠望卻難以渡過。
地方雖不同，情意卻無異，
我們共賞這江上明亮的月色。
江天空曠，少有飛雁，
不要托芳洲上的香草寄信。
我的心追隨著寒潮，
日夜流淌，曲折迂迴。
願你保持青松般的姿態，
我們相約在霜雪之中再會。

An old tree howls in the north wind,
Its withered leaves rustle and fall.
The waters of Yue are full of wind and waves,
They can be gazed upon but not crossed.
Though lands differ, feelings do not change,
We share the same bright moon over this river.
The river sky is scant of flying geese,
Send no message by the fragrant isle's herbs.
My heart follows the cold tide,
Day and night it flows with twists and turns.
May you preserve the grace of the green pine,
Let us meet again amidst frost and snow.
