古時的明月高懸在碧藍的天空中，
它曾經照耀著皇帝的車駕從蜀地歸來。
御座突然空置，三座宮殿顯得遙遠，
朝會儀式暫時停歇，六更時分一片閒靜。
戰馬屯集，腥霧瀰漫，丹墀已經損壞，
黃鶯在冤屈的春天裡哭泣，玉戶緊閉。
可悲的是，年年歸來的舊時燕子，
繞著屋簷偷偷低語，探問皇帝的容顏。
