常年四月本不該如此酷熱難當。
這熱浪雖無根據，卻像權臣般令人壓抑，
這塵土如同惡吏，實在令人憎惡。
遙望南邊田地上空的雲，心中焦慮如焚，
老巫婆在正午時分，氣勢囂張跋扈。
所以這場旱災定是風伯造成的，
難道我不能向天控告你嗎？

Yet April's heat, in normal years, is not so fierce.
The heat, though baseless, feels like a courtier's oppressive sway,
The dust, akin to a tyrant's, is utterly loathsome.
Gazing at clouds over southern fields, my heart burns with anguish,
The old shaman, at noon, exudes an overbearing air.
Thus, this drought must be the Wind God's doing—
Shall I not accuse you before Heaven, if I dare?
