江水之外三千里遠，
城牆上聳立著百尺高台。
遙望帝都的宮闕寶殿，
星辰仿佛貼近了玉制的魁星。
春風浩蕩，胸懷爲之暢快，
雲層散開，曉月顯露光華。
山川增添了宏偉的氣象，
欄杆仿佛超脫了塵世的汙濁。
天邊橫飛著歸來的大雁，
林梢露出了槐樹的身影。
欣喜地遇到這些達官貴人，
他們多半是從京城那邊而來。

Three thousand li beyond the river's flow,
A hundred-foot tower stands on the city wall.
I gaze at the sacred capital's treasure gate,
Where stars and constellations touch the jade peak.
The wide wind quickens my springtime heart,
Clouds part, revealing the dawn moon's light.
Mountains and rivers gain a grander air,
The railings rise, free from worldly dust.
Wild geese in flight cross the horizon's line,
Atop the forest, locust trees appear.
Joyful to meet these officials in their caps,
Half of them come from the side of the sun.
