漆黑的夜空沒有星星，雲層如墨塗抹。
城邑的狗向著郊野吠叫，行人腳踩寒霜。
一年將盡啊，風吹落了樹葉，
夜已多深？北斗星仿佛斜插在江中。
屋頭的公雞正靜靜安睡，
荒野縣城的嚴鼓已率先咚咚敲響。
我摩挲著衰老的面容，起身撥弄爐火，
春意與酒香已盈滿牀頭的酒缸。

The dark sky, starless, is smeared with pitch-like clouds,
Town dogs bark at the wilds where men tread on frost.
The year draws to its end as wind strips the woods,
How deep the night is, with the Dipper plunged in the river!
The rooster on the roof sleeps in utter silence,
The county's stern drums from the wilds first throb and boom.
Rubbing my aged face, I rise to stir the fire,
While spring hues and wine fill the vat by my bed.
