燕語鶯啼觸動了我內心的愁緒，
庭院深深，我慵懶地不願靠近繡簾窗欞。
一年的春景，一半是晴，一半是雨，
遠行萬里的雲帆，經歷了幾多黃昏的風？
柳枝不夠溫存，牽惹起怨恨之情，
浮萍無拘無束，自在飄向西方與東方。
這番心事不要向桃花訴說，
即便說給桃花聽，它也會凋零落紅。

The swallows' and orioles' chatter stirs my heart's pain,
Deep in the courtyard, listless, I lean not on the embroidered screen.
A year's spring affairs are half in sunshine, half in rain,
Cloud sails for ten thousand miles—how many evenings' winds have been?
The willow, lacking tenderness, evokes a mournful sigh,
The duckweed, free of all restraint, drifts east and west at will.
These feelings—do not tell them to the peach blossoms nearby,
For even told to them, their crimson petals would fall still.
