詩歌內容

翹車蕊佩謁明光，禁籞多年費稻粱。

祗羨泥塗龜曵尾，翻嫌霧雨豹成章。

鳴鳩春{殻幾=子}先疇廢，寒蝶秋菘老圃荒。

歸計未成芳節晚，更憂禽鹿頓纓狂。

乘著華車，佩戴香飾，去朝見光輝的朝廷；

在宮禁之中多年，耗費著朝廷的俸祿。

反而羨慕泥濘中拖著尾巴自在的烏龜；

卻嫌棄在霧雨中皮毛才顯出斑紋的豹子。

春天斑鳩鳴叫，先輩的田疇已然荒廢，只剩空殼；

秋日寒蝶飛舞，老菜園裡的白菜也已蕪荒。

歸鄉的計劃未能實現，美好的時節已近晚秋；

更擔憂那被羈縻的麋鹿會突然掙脫束縛，狂躁不安。

With adorned chariot and fragrant regalia, I attend the brilliant court;

For years within the palace grounds, I've consumed the royal grain.

I only envy the turtle dragging its tail in the mud;

But turn to dislike the leopard whose spots are formed in misty rain.

The cooing doves in spring—the old fields lie fallow, shells abandoned;

The cold butterflies in autumn—the aged garden's cabbages run wild.

My plan to return home remains unfulfilled as the fragrant season wanes;

And I worry more that the captive deer may suddenly break its tether, running wild.

宮廷生活的耗費，折射出資源分配的政治博弈。

以華麗車駕與禁苑生活為引，暗喻多年仕途耗費心力，流露對官場生活的複雜感受。

楊億（974-1020），字大年，建州浦城（今屬福建）人，祖籍弘農。北宋初期著名文學家、政治家。他是宋初館閣文臣的代表人物，以其博學強記和駢儷文采聞名於世，與劉筠、錢惟演等人共同開創並引領了風靡一時的“西崑體”詩風，對宋初文壇產生了深遠影響。
