空曠的原野上，天空向四方低垂，
從凍雲的縫隙里，太陽平西而落。
水邊的村落從遠處看顯得矮短，
茅屋的長屋簷反而顯得低矮。
最喜愛河堤竟能如此巧妙，
截斷山腳，形成整齊無比的邊界。
欣喜地聽說借得了姑蘇館居住，
拄著藜杖登上那百尺高台。

Through rifts in frozen clouds, the sun sinks level in the west.
The water village, seen from afar, appears short,

Joyful to hear we've borrowed lodging at Gusu Lodge,
