Uncooked wine is clearer than snow; cooked wine is red as blood.
Cooked wine is not as fierce as the uncooked wine.
Cooked wine carries only the breath of smoke and fire,
While uncooked wine never loses the taste of spring and stone.
From the rock's root, the spring's eye, freshly drawn,
With yeast and grain, it's brewed into a scent of spring breeze.
On the mat, pork's red mingles with bear's white fat,
At the jar's mouth, duck-green turns to goose-yellow.
Once the master is drunk, all worldly affairs are done.
How would he know he's still in the midst of dust?
