我素來懷有棲身青霞之境的願望，
這心思大概只有白鷺知曉。
於風煙暮色中暫且極目遠眺，
山水景色正適宜融入秋日的懷抱。
年老之時卻仍多病纏身，
清貧之中反倒剩餘詩篇。
徒然憂愁餘熱尚在人間，
但自會有涼爽之時到來。

Long have I cherished a wish for the azure clouds' abode,
Which only the white egret, I think, might truly know.
In wind and mist, I gaze afar as evening falls;
Mountains and waters find their grace in autumn's call.
In my old age, I'm plagued by many an ailment still,
Yet in my poverty, poems remain, my only skill.
Vainly I fret that lingering heat persists its reign,
But surely a time of coolness will come again.
