離開京城回到家鄉，已是一年光陰過去，
我又登臨了鳳山，俯瞰著錦水。
分別以來，世間發生了多少如蠻觸相爭般無謂的戰爭，
歷盡山川險阻，心中生出多少憂慮。
哪裡比得上閒散之人，無所憑依、無牽無掛，
不妨以冷靜的眼光，看待世事的興衰浮沉。
荷花正開得繁盛，蓮蓬還很鮮嫩，
月光之下，且將松醪美酒斟滿酒杯。

I climb again the Phoenix Hill, by Brocade Stream displayed.
Since parting, how many battles, petty as ants, have been fought?
Through perilous peaks and rivers, what anxious thoughts were brought!
How unlike a carefree man, with no ties to the world,
Who can watch with cold detachment as fortunes rise and fall.
Lotus flowers are in riot, seedpods tender and new,
Under moonlight, with pine-brewed wine, I fill my cup anew.
