道路兩旁，疏落的籬笆如錦繡堆疊，
早晨開放，傍晚凋落，次日清晨又開。
花心抽出，像撒了糖粉的糕點輕輕拖曳，
靠近花蒂處，濃艷的胭脂厚厚抹上腮。
占盡了半年花期還說短暫，
何曾有一日不送來芬芳？
在百花之中卻是它壽命最長，
以新換舊，哪裡需要催促呢。

Along the road, sparse fences piled like brocade,
They bloom at dawn, at dusk they fade, then dawn's remade.
Their hearts protrude like pastry dusted light with flour,
Near stems, deep rouge is thickly smeared on each flower.
They claim half a year's bloom is still too brief a stay,
Yet not a single day passes without their display.
Among all flowers, theirs is the life most long,
Exchanging old for new, no urging is their song.
