夢中喧鬧的聲音定然不同凡響，
順著風解開纜繩，衝破晴日山間的霧氣。
起牀後我的職責只是洗臉，
除此之外，功名事業全在於揚帆遠航。
莫要嘲笑只有一蔬半豆的簡單飯食，
我已飽覽了萬道深谷與千座山岩。
蓬萊仙山的雲氣您就別指望了，
且到嚴子陵垂釣的灘頭去洗濯我的布衫吧。

The clamor in my dream must be extraordinary;
With a fair wind, I cast off the cable, parting the misty morning.
Rising, my duty is merely to wash my face;
Beyond this, all fame and merit lie in hoisting the sail.
Don't laugh at a simple meal of vegetables and beans,
I feast my eyes on myriad valleys and a thousand cliffs.
Do not gaze longingly at the misty aura of Penglai;
Better to wash my plain robe in the rapids of Yan's Shoal.
