我曾聽聞晉朝右軍將軍王羲之的書法事跡，
他當時深深隱遁，以自然真趣爲樂。
空山寂寥，那位高人如今何在？
只有一池深澈的水，墨色仿佛依然新鮮。
謝靈運也曾想拋棄官印綬帶，
張季鷹也懂得思念鱸魚蓴菜而辭官。
他們高遠的風範遙應古昔，應當相互輝映，
都是知曉時機的智者，在此避世隱身。

I've long heard of the Jin calligrapher, the General of the Right,
Who retreated deep into seclusion, delighting in nature's truth.
The empty mountains are desolate—where is that man now?
Yet the pond's dark, clear water still holds the freshness of his ink.
Even Lingyun yearned to cast off his official seal and ribbons;
Jiying, too, understood the longing for perch and water shield.
Their lofty spirit, remote from antiquity, should shine upon us still,
All who know the times have chosen this path of withdrawal.
