白話文翻譯
用名劍干將去修補破舊的鞋子，
用鉛做的鈍刀去宰割完整的牛。
花費千金去買千里馬的屍骨，
卻讓駿馬華騮去拉鼓樂之車服役。
善於相劍的薛燭早已遠去，
善於相馬的伯樂也無法尋求。
這其中的道理難以追問明白，
我還是作一首《歸去來》的辭賦，就此歸隱吧。

A broken shoe patched with a famed sword's steel,
A leaden blade to carve a whole ox's frame.
A thousand gold for a steed's bones, a zeal,
While noble steeds to haul a common dray came.
The judge of swords, Xue Zhu, is long gone from sight,
And Bo Le, the horse sage, is nowhere to find.
This truth is hard to question, hard to set right,
I'll sing of going home and leave it behind.
