酒杯拋卻，黃菊已干，賒酒來飲。
城牆掩住了清冷的搗衣聲，搗衣已停。
此時心中斷絕，難以忍受。
向南前往長沙，故人日漸稀少。

The city walls hide the clear sound of washing mallets, clothes no longer pounded.
I cannot bear this moment, my heart is utterly broken.
Southward to Changsha, old friends grow few and far between.
