有位客人頭戴華陽巾，
置身於園中的竹林里。
他傲然斜視仿佛旁若無人，
那風神氣度足以震動岩谷。
主人邀請客人交談，
山中新釀的酒剛剛熟成。
暢飲之後他拿出素書，
上面的鳥篆文字無法辨識。
想要詢問超脫塵世的訣竅，
他一聲長嘯振動了林木。
他飄然離去與我分別，
擡頭望去只見黃鵠高飛。

A guest in a Huayang cap,
Amidst the garden bamboo,
He gazes proudly as if no one were there,
His spirit stirs the cliffs and valleys.
The host invites the guest to speak,
In the mountains, the wine is newly brewed.
Drinking heartily, he brings out a plain book,
With bird script that cannot be read.
Wishing to ask the secret of transcending the world,
He lets out a long whistle that shakes the forest trees.
Majestically he takes his leave of me,
Lifting his head, only the yellow swan remains.
