歸棹將秋色，三湘是勝遊。

guī zhào jiāng qiū sè， sān xiāng shì shèng yóu。

灣回仍小嶼，灘過盡平流。

wān huí réng xiǎo yǔ， tān guò jìn píng liú。

臨水聞僧磬，隈巖隠釣舟。

白話文翻譯

歸舟載著秋色前行，

在三湘之地進行一場暢快的遊覽。

河道迂迴，仍有小島點綴，

駛過險灘，便盡是平緩的水流。

臨近水邊，聽到寺院的磬聲，

在岩石的隱蔽處，藏著釣魚的小舟。

江岸上每一處風景優美的地方，

我都買些酒，在此稍作停留，悠然自得。

My homeward boat carries the autumn hue,

Through the Three Xiangs, a journey grand and new.

Around the bends, small isles come into view;

Past the rapids, the stream runs calm and true.

By waterside, I hear the temple bell;

A fishing boat hides where the cliffs foretell.

At every lovely spot along the shore,

I buy some wine and linger all the more.
