南堂中有客人正面對著秋日的天空，
每一面的窗戶都吸納著清晨的雲霞。
雲氣飄入書齋，不帶絲毫俗世的氣息；
月光灑落吟案，帶來清幽的芬芳。
難道會沒有像《淇奧》詩中歌詠的綠竹嗎？
也有長滿蒼苔的石上刻著篆字文書。
樓閣上的桂枝應當努力生長，
兄弟們的境遇是難是易，終究取決於各人自身。

A guest in the south hall greets the autumn sky,
Windows on all sides drink in the dawn clouds drifting by.
Clouds enter the study, free of worldly air;
The moon visits the desk, with pure fragrance rare.
Could there be no green bamboo, as in the old ode?
There are also moss-grown stones, with ancient scripts bestowed.
Strive hard, like the cassia on the tower high;
Brothers' fate, whether hard or fair, lies in their own try.
