小人卻不明了時機的微妙徵兆。
效法天道的可貴在於自強不息，
時機的徵兆啊，實在非常精微。
自強就不會有退縮與懈怠，
精微之中便有了是非的分別。
最終期望德行與功業都能成就，
不再回歸到小人的境地中去。

The petty man is blind to the subtle signs of time.
To emulate Heaven, one must prize self-strengthening;
Ah, time's subtle signs are exceedingly fine.
Strength ensures no retreat into sloth and decline;

In the end, virtue and deeds shall be perfected,
And one shall not return to the petty man's throng.
