通達顯赫的官員，在我的家鄉舊時很少聽聞，
躋身翰林院與中書省兩處禁中的，總共只有三人。
可嘆那兩位已經歸赴漫漫長夜，
剩下我這一老，還能得到幾個春天？
華車高冠不過堪堪遮蔽俗世的眼光，
湖光山色正好可以愉悅天真本性。
不妨天天在花前醉倒，
畢竟我的年歲已經行將七十了。

To rise to both the Hanlin and the Secretariat—just three men in all.
Alas, two lords have now returned to the eternal night,
How many springs can this old one still hope to recall?
Official caps and carriages but shield us from vulgar sight,
Lakes and mountains are just right for joy in nature's thrall.
No harm in getting drunk before flowers day by day,
For I have reached the age of seventy, come what may.
