北園的山杏樹都是高高的植株，
新生的枝條上綻放的花朵如同點綴的酥油。
清晨時分，樹林間有鳥兒啼叫，
孩子們都認得這鳥名叫提壺。
急忙叫人取來酒對著杏花暢飲，
頭上胡亂插滿了紅花，一片模糊。
可惜日後再次來到此地，
定會看到花瓣隨風飄落，如錦緞鋪地。

Northern garden's apricot trees all stand tall and high,
New branches burst with blossoms like dotted cream on the sky.
Early in the morning, among them, birds sing and cry,
Children all know their name is the wine-pot bird nearby.
Urgently fetch wine to drink facing them, I comply,
My hair a messy heap of red blooms piled awry.
Alas, when I come again in days that will pass by,
Surely I'll see them, wind-blown, like brocade spread to dry.
