臨近台階又靠近水流，新栽下蘆葦。
栽種之初，尚未長得稠密。
常常因爲帶著風雨，顯得修長。
遠遠望去，好似生長在沙洲之上。
靜謐閒適的環境適宜紅蓼生長。
悠閒棲息的姿態正與白鷗相稱。
來年春天景象應當更加美好。
但江上的幽夢已暗自休止。

The seedlings are sparse, not yet grown thick and true.
They'll stretch long in wind and rain, a familiar scene.
Like those on distant sandbars, a hazy, watery sheen.
Still and secluded, red knotweed finds its delight.
Leisurely perched, white gulls claim their roost in plain sight.
Come next spring, the view should be even finer, I deem.
Yet on the river, my dreams quietly cease and teem.
