危閣勢凌空，履滑難擇澀。
特特馬蹄聲，谷虛良易入。

清晨我經過龍洞的洞口，
秋雨使寒冷的江水更加湍急。
點燃的火炬像撒出的流星飛散，
隨風閃爍，光芒熠熠。
高聳的樓閣仿佛凌空而立，
腳下溼滑，難以選擇穩妥的路徑。
馬蹄聲格外清晰響亮，
在空曠的山谷中，聲音很容易傳入。
只怕驚動了洞中的神怪，
引來轟雷般的響動，驚醒蟄伏的它們。
我難道不惦念自身的安寧嗎？
爲了公務，我忘卻了眼前的險峻。

At dawn I passed the Dragon Cave's mouth,
Where autumn rain chills the rushing river.
Torchlight scatters like shooting stars,
Its flickering gleam follows the wind.
The perilous pavilion soars into the sky,
Slippery steps make footing hard to choose.
The clatter of horse hooves echoes loud,
Into the hollow valley, easily it enters.
I fear only to disturb the spirits and monsters,
Lest thunderous roars arise from their slumber.
Do I not think of safety and comfort?
For public duty, I forget the peril.
