晨風與落葉，辭別了高處的樹木；
夜月下的行人，正走在另一片沙洲。
千里關山河流，是夢回故國的思念；
滿江煙波浩渺，是古往今來的哀愁。
雁鳴聲已消逝在遼闊的青天之外；
卻回憶起曾與你一同登臨望海樓的時候。

A weary traveler, desolate, with autumn in his temples gray;
The willow strands, too frail to hold the homeward boat, let it drift away.
Morning wind and fallen leaves bid farewell to the trees on high;
The traveler under the night moon treads a land 'neath a separate sky.
A thousand miles of passes and streams—dreams of homeland, far and nigh;
A river of misty waves—sorrows of ancient times and now, heave a sigh.
The wild geese's cries are gone; the azure sky stretches vast and wide;
Yet I recall the time we climbed together the seaside tower side by side.
