六條龍銜著火焚燒天地，
魏王的冰井熱得像沸水在煮。
松枝和桂葉凝結呆滯如同痴傻，
熱得溪頭嘯風的老虎氣喘欲死。
北溟融化了萬丈寒冰，
千斤重的凍鼠熱得慌忙如同被蒸。
我聽說胡地常年飛雪，
此時卻被太陽曬得地皮開裂。
仙芝和瑤草都不敢生長，
湘川的竹子枯焦，美玉般的竹節折斷。
西郊雖有美好的雲彩卻不降雨，
堆疊著青綠也只是徒勞無功。

Pine boughs and cassia leaves stand stiff as if stunned,
Panting kills the tiger roaring wind at the stream head.

A thousand-catty frozen mouse scurries as if steamed.
I hear the northern lands are ever covered in flying snow,
Yet now the sun scorches the earth's skin to cracks.
Divine mushrooms and jade herbs dare not sprout,
The Xiang River's bamboos scorch, their jade-like joints break.
Fine clouds gather in the western suburbs, yet no rain falls,
Piling blue upon green is but a futile show.
