雕琢石頭,塗漆池座,省去了調試琴絃的工夫,
塵埃寂靜不動,宮商角徵羽五音卻俱全。
它大概是嫌棄雜亂的演奏妨礙了人們的雅興,
正適合常常攜帶,對著賓客安眠。
投擲疲倦的身軀躺下,乍然如同側耳傾聽,
從睡夢中醒來,只欠那自然的天籟之聲傳來。
舞動的雲彩有如家傳風範,升上廳堂的席座,
在寂寞幽靜中,依稀仿效著萬古以來的賢人。
Carving stone and lacquering the pool, it spares the need for strings to tune,
In silent dust unmoved, the five notes remain complete and true.
It likely scorns discordant sounds that mar a listener's delight,
And thus is fit to carry always, facing guests in slumber's quiet.
When weary, I cast myself down as if to lend an eager ear,
But rising from sleep, I lack the sound of nature's music to hear.
The dancing clouds, a family model, ascend the hall's matted seat,
In solitude and stillness, faintly echo sages of antiquity, timeless and replete.
