在八節灘頭，老醉之中吟詠詩篇，
近年來，連愁緒也禁受不住，難以勝禁。
要知道，無論到哪裡都難忘美酒，
有意來訪時，姑且抱著琴來相伴。
想要與你同游，忘卻世俗的思慮，
除非是我們的事，否則不必關心。
相約早晚要超脫塵緣之外，
一同去拜訪毗耶離，聆聽梵唄之音。

By Eight-Shoal Rapids, old and drunk, I chant my verse;
In recent years, even sorrow I can't disperse.
Know well that everywhere it's hard to forget wine;
When intention comes, I'll simply hold my zither fine.
I wish to roam with you, forgetting worldly care—
Unless it's our affair, let nothing draw me there.
We promise, sooner or later, beyond dust's tie,
To visit Vaiśālī and hear the Sanskrit cry.
