窗邊的竹子收斂了傍晚的影姿，
烏雲升起，天空變得昏暗幽冥。
一場雨送來了些許微涼，
將蚊蚋的嗡嗡聲全都收盡。
生機降臨在乾涸的原野上，
焦黃的土地重現了新鮮的青綠。
滂沱大雨若能再持續三日，
定然能使這一年五穀豐登。
呼喚孩兒備好酒樽與美酒，
心中喜悅劇增，無暇傾杯細飲。
長風捲走了歸去的雲層，
雲隙間忽然透出微弱的月光。
樹葉尖端還留著殘餘的雨滴，
那聲響短暫得不足以讓我聽個滿足。

Bamboos by the window gather their evening shade,
Clouds rise and the heavens turn to deepest gloom.
A single rain brings a hint of cooling breath,
And swallows up the whining hum of gnats.
Fresh life descends upon the withered plain,
Where scorched and yellow hues revive to green.
If torrents pour for three more days like this,
Then surely we'll have harvests rich and full.
I call my son to bring the wine and cup,
In such pure joy, I have no time to pour.
A long wind rolls the parting clouds away,
Through a rift, the moon gleams faintly, sudden-bright.
On leaf-tips linger drops, a lingering chime,
Too brief a feast to sate this listening ear.
