南鄰搗衣的砧杵聲剛好又停歇了，
不知何處吹起笛子，秋夜裡更加清亮。
笛聲彷彿蘊含著白龍堆外的哀怨，
遺憾沒能在黃鶴樓中聆聽欣賞。
螢火蟲飛舞，露水降下，百草溼潤，
倚著風，心潮激烈澎湃，思量起平生際遇。

From the south neighbor, pounding clothes just stops its knocks,
From somewhere, a flute sounds, clearer in autumn's tune.
It seems to hold the grief beyond the White Dragon Dunes,
A regret not heard within the Yellow Crane Tower's room.
Fireflies flit, dew falls, dampening all the grass,
Leaning in the wind, stirred fiercely, I ponder my life, alas.
