它使枯槁者復甦、轉爲豐茂的功勞難以言表；天帝說："我將報答你，讓你的後代繁衍昌盛。"
有的居住在渭水之濱，有的在淇園的竹林中；有一支逃入了荒涼的磯石水灣。
此後它們生養兒子，兒子又生養孫子；頭角嶄然，闖入了我的籬藩。
在數寸之間積聚著拂雲的力量；精華不曾洩漏，真正的滋味得以保全。
火神祝融與水神玄冥效命奔走；茭白的心、蘆葦的芽面對它都羞愧難當。
竹葉與你本是同根所生；如同膠與漆相合，沒有隔閡之言。

The bamboo shoots leap from the cold glassy stream, their bodies armored, oozing a pungent trace.
Reviving the withered, their merit is beyond words; the Emperor says: "I reward you with thriving heirs."
Some dwell by the Wei River, some in Qi's bamboo grove; one branch escaped into the desolate rocky bay.
Thereafter they bore sons, and sons bore grandsons; their sharp heads thrust boldly into my domain.
Between the clouds, their force is pent in inches; their essence unspilled, the true flavor remains whole.
The fire god and water god race in service; the hearts of water plants and reed shoots blush with shame.
Bamboo leaves and you share the selfsame root; like glue joining lacquer, no discord between.
