通達之人的憂與樂只是順應時勢而變化，
過往的事情仍然需要進入夢境去思索。
切實的行動難以磨滅，姑且盡力去做，
空洞的言論無濟於事，莫要沉溺於詩歌。
流水終究容易興起轟鳴的風浪，
青松暫時微微低下被雪壓彎的枝條。
李樹生長在道路旁卻遭到眾人的嫌棄，
蘭草生於幽深谷底自會有人知曉它的芬芳。

The wise adapt their joy and grief to time's own flow,
Past events still must enter the realm of dreams and thought.
Hard deeds are difficult to grind, yet strive we must,
Empty words bring no relief, don't in poetry be caught.
Water, after all, easily stirs with wind and wave,
The pine, for a while, slightly bows its snow-laden bough.
The plum by the roadside is spurned by the passing crowd,
The orchid deep in the valley finds one who knows it now.
