天上犀角般的枝與玉蕊般的花在秋日綻放，
不知何年桂子落入了幽深的山岩。
庭院前忽然生出兩株美好的樹，
屋簷外突兀地挺出一對青龍。
九里香飄散，吹斷了夢境；
十分圓滿的樹影在暮雲中收斂。
他日等它們合抱時再回來看，
這可不是玄都觀裡的遊覽啊。

In which year did cassia seeds fall into the secluded cliff?
Suddenly, two fine trees sprout before the courtyard;
Beyond the eaves, a pair of green dragons thrust forth.

The full round shadow fades as evening clouds withdraw.
In time to come, we'll return to see them grown and embraced—
This is no stroll within the Xuandu Taoist temple.
