於是導致了陸渾戎的禍亂,
最終蒙受了沙丘宮變的恥辱。
採用夷狄的風俗反而改變了華夏,
喪失禮制去追隨粗俗的習慣。
先王仁義的治國方略,
怎能用這種方式來求取福運?
齊桓公九合諸侯的功業,
並不依靠兵車武力達成。
孔子感嘆說'要是沒有管仲,
我們恐怕都要披髮左衽了。
從那以來,豪俠少年們,
往往穿著奇裝異服。
炫耀武力何必如此呢?
抵禦外族自有前人的典範可循。
我冒昧地告知守關的官吏:
奇異的服飾應當嚴厲禁止。

And in the end, the shame at Shaqiu befell.

Losing rites to follow vulgar custom.

How could one use this to seek fortune?
Duke Huan of Qi's ninefold feats of alliance,
Were achieved not by the hub of war chariots.
Confucius sighed, 'But for Guan Zhong,
We might have been subjects of the left-lapped garb.'
Since then, the gallant and knightly youths,
Often have worn strange and different dress.
Is displaying martial prowess truly necessary?
To guard against the barbarians, there are former tracks.
I dare to inform the officers of the frontier pass:
Strange attire should be prohibited and strictly enforced.
