年老之時，恰逢自己的生辰之日，
遠在天涯，執掌著一方軍政的權柄。
偶然蒙受他人以嵩嶽般崇高的詩句相贊，
卻怎忍心去吟誦那哀悼父母的《蓼莪》詩篇。
節令風物如梅花般在眼前匆匆掠過，
年華流逝似白雪悄然覆上我的眉梢。
兒子們曾舉杯為我祝壽敬酒，
但所有的祝願，其實都是盼我早日歸鄉的祈願。

On my birthday, old, I meet the day of bow and arrow's sign,
Far from home, I hold a single banner, a command of mine.
By chance, I'm praised with lines lofty as the sacred mountain high,
Yet how can I bear to recite the poem of "Liao E" with a sigh?
The seasonal sight passes by—plum blossoms before my eyes,
The fleeting years pile up—snow upon my brows in white disguise.
My sons have raised their cups to wish me longevity and cheer,
But all their toasts, in truth, are prayers for my return, sincere.
