夜晚夢中，我追隨著已故父親的足跡，
沿著梅溪，手持黎木手杖前行。
那條杉樹小徑早已開闢好，
作爲歸隱休憩之所，預先就已標定。
夢魂被拂曉驚醒，
精神煥發，如秋日般清爽。
披上衣服，在孤燈下映照，
流著眼淚，寫下這恍惚迷離的夢境。

In night's dream, I followed my late father's trace,
Along Plum Creek, with his cane of Li wood in pace.
The fir-lined path was opened early, as I recall,
A retreat for rest, marked out for us all.
My soul, startled by dawn, from the dream did awake,
My spirit, refreshed, the autumn's vigor did take.
I draped my robe, by the lone lamp's flickering light,
And with tears, wrote of this vision, vague and slight.
