那倚天的長劍是爲誰而收起？
本想獻給君王，用以安定天下九州。
世間萬事徒然地隨著落日一同沉淪。
滿腔的壯志徒然地追隨著碧綠的江水東流。
大雁飛越西邊的關塞，偏偏讓遊子更添愁緒。
菊花在東籬下綻放，才真正標誌著秋天的到來。
抖擻精神，擺脫長久以來的塵世迷夢，
於是提起蓑衣和斗笠，登上那漁舟。

I wished to present it to my lord to pacify the Nine Provinces.
Worldly affairs idly follow the setting red sun downward.
My lofty aspirations vainly chase the emerald river's flow.
Wild geese cross the western pass, especially saddening the traveler.
Chrysanthemums bloom by the eastern fence, heralding autumn's true arrival.
I shake off the dusty dream I've long been entangled in,
And, taking up my straw cloak and hat, board the fishing boat.
