古老的寺廟沒有鄰近的人家，
被千山環抱著，山色空靈青碧。
寺門打開，通向猿猴飛鳥往來的路徑，
殿門深鎖，其中積聚著煙霞。
古老的樹木森然環繞著曲折的溪流，
飛濺的急流自行淙淙激盪。
從來不曾有車馬到達這裡，
這絕妙的境地，無論古今都如此清閒。
那位逍遙自在的賢明大夫，
肯於在此攜帶佳客同游。
清晨時分，隨從的騎卒鳴響鑾鈴到來，
歸來時，太陽常常已經西斜。
若不是爲了讓審理訴訟的公堂不致空閒，
誰又能傲然隱居，享受這泉石之樂呢？

The ancient temple has no neighbors nearby,
Encircled by a thousand peaks in empty azure sky.
The gate opens to paths of apes and birds,
The hall is locked where mists and rosy clouds lie.
Old trees stand dense around the winding stream,
And flying rapids rush with a gurgling cry.
Never have carriages or horses reached this place,
A secluded realm, tranquil through time's race.
The noble official, carefree and at ease,
Would deign to bring his worthy guests here, please.
At clear dawn, the outriders' bells ring clear,
Returning only when the sun slants near.
If not for keeping the court of disputes from idleness,
Who could afford to scorn the spring and rock's caress?
