夫君啊，你確實是從淦川那邊而來，
書香門第，一脈相承，教誨自有高台。
蓬萊閬苑得遇時機，本應直上青雲；
金山焦山卻無立錐之地，只得空回。
舉薦的文書令人欣喜，仿佛自天而降；
誰的詩句能帶著雨水催促花開？
細數平生，歸隱的打算才是正理，
等待著在明月下耕種，栽種耐寒的梅花。

My lord, you truly came from the Gan River's side,
A scholarly lineage, teaching's tower, your pride.
When time is ripe, soar high from Penglai's blessed ground;
Yet Golden and Jiao Isles, no foothold to be found.
Letters of praise, a joy descending from the sky;
What verse can hasten blooms 'neath a rain-laden sigh?
Counting the days, I find my destined path is clear:
To plough the moonlit fields and plant cold plums, my dear.
