筆直高聳，每日盤曲如虯龍；
驚雷拔起僵臥的龍，將它引出雲霧煙靄。
只要假借深根能長久扎穩土地，
何必憂慮筆直的樹幹不能支撐天空？
雖然世間的匠人遺忘了衡量選拔的標準，
它又怎肯與平凡木材比較先後優劣？
可惜春風只偏愛桃李之花，
獨獨讓霜雪年復一年地瀰漫在它身上。
