萬頃清澈的江水浸潤著碧綠的山巒，
天地仿佛都在這片景象中變得寬廣。
樓台的倒影落入水中，驚動了魚龍，
鐘磬的聲音傳來，使水石都生出寒意。
日暮時分，海門方向有白鳥飛翔，
潮水退回瓜步，露出了黃色的沙灘。
當時戶外風浪險惡，
只有高僧能在靜處安然觀看。

A thousand acres of clear river soak the jade-green hill,
The whole world seems to widen here, expanding at its will.
Towers' shadows fall, startling the fish and dragons deep;
From bell and chime, a chill pierces the water and rock steep.
At dusk, white birds fly o'er the sea-gate, far and nigh;
As tides recede at Guabu, yellow sandbanks lie.
In those days, storms raged fierce outside the temple's door,
Only the serene monk could watch from his calm shore.
