你的老成德行終將抵達孔子之境，
即便窮困至死，也會像顏回那樣堅守。
你的學問思想廣闊無涯，
誠心與明德之間，只差一線之隔。
我雖是有心追隨之人，
卻苦於力量不足，未能攀及你的高度。

Ever busy, never seen at leisure.
Your mature virtue at last approaches Confucius's height,
In direst poverty, you'd still be like Yan Hui in plight.
Your scholarship thinks boundlessly, without a frontier,

Though I am one with a mind to follow your way,
