溝渠中，老弱病殘者流轉爲漂浮的屍體，
丈夫不容納妻子，母親拋棄孩子。
能讓百姓保持愚昧無知，竟還算幸運，
否則，除了死亡，他們還能做什麼？
我這布衣百姓空有對著荒草流淚的悲哀，
那些肉食者當權者卻只想著姬妾與駿馬。
您啊，能體察天意並了解百姓的數目，
但若連死所都不知，又能有什麼說辭？

If the people remain foolish, it's still a blessing,
Otherwise, what more can death achieve?
